Meet Steve Crandall

My firm is Crandall & Pera Law – and the two things I emphasize about our firm are, first of all, all three lead partners have been defense lawyers in the past, and together we tried hundreds of cases on the defense side. Why is that important? We know how to win a case for the defense; we know how to poke holes in the patient, or plaintiff’s, case.

The second thing is that each of us have specialized in medical malpractice for several decades. Each of the three main partners in Crandall & Pera Law have handled medical malpractice cases from both the defense and plaintiff’s side. We’re national recognized medical malpractice plaintiffs’ lawyers. We know the medicine almost as good as the physicians that we’re going against. We have paralegals who are trained in looking at the medical records, organizing the medical records, and we also have a board of nationally recognized medical experts that we consult with. And because we’ve been on both sides of the fence, we put the case together in its best and most successful form to get good results.

You want an attorney who knows how the other side works

When you are fighting for your future after an act of medical negligence has hurt you or your loved one, you need an experienced attorney who has a long history of proven results. Steve Crandall began his career as a lawyer defending doctors and hospitals, and therefore knows how these forces think. This experience has allowed Steve Crandall to know how to “poke holes” in a plaintiff’s case. Having training and experience on the defense side first allows the lawyers of Crandall & Pera Law to anticipate any issues that might arise in your case before they happen during trial or settlement negotiations, and to eliminate the holes from the beginning. It also allows the attorneys to prepare clients more effectively and thoroughly for how the defense will structure their arguments against your case.

Having experienced paralegals and Registered Nurses on your side works to your benefit, too. The professional staff at Crandall & Pera Law can answer your questions and explain in detail what your medical records say. They work hand-in-hand with your medical malpractice lawyer to ensure that you understand what is happening at every step of the case, and to collect and document the evidence you need for a strong claim for compensation.
