Founding partner Steve Crandall recently presented at the 2016 annual convention for the Ohio Association for Justice (OAJ), conducting focus groups on the issues that affect trial lawyers on a day-to-day basis. The presentation, titled “A Focus Group Review: The Winning Formula for Plaintiffs Lawyers,” examined three specific interests to trial attorneys: jury selection, trial preparedness and marketing.
Steve, along with Jury Consultant Becky Jones from Smith-Jones Consulting, conducted several focus groups to ascertain information from these potential jurors regarding various areas of Plaintiff’s lawyers practice. These included how a potential client would research and select a lawyer, what their thoughts and feelings are about various types of cases and specific information on jury selection. Steve Crandall also researched the most recent state and national trends in medical negligence, birth injury, wrongful death and anesthesia and failure to diagnose cases.
Honoring commitment
On top of all of Steve’s hard work for the OAJ, he was also presented with a President’s Award during the dinner on Saturday night. The President’s Award is given to attorneys who help promote the goals and the mission of the OAJ, and who contribute to the community in a meaningful and substantial way.
