There's an acronym called APGAR scores. It's scores that care providers take of your baby to see if they're healthy or not. Zero is bad and 10 is good. If you ask and hear that your baby's APGAR scores were very low, for example, anything between zero or five, you should contact us afterwords for an evaluation. What conditions could cause these types of injuries?

There are a number of conditions that could lead to these issues. A blueish tint could indicate oxygen deprivation or cord compression, both of which can prove fatal if they’re not handled quickly. Limpness could indicate a birth trauma, an undiagnosed genetic disorder, or another problem. Low APGAR scores often indicate respiratory or cardiac distress.
