Post-surgical misdiagnosis results in partial amputations

Our client was in the medical profession and eventually needed heart surgery. Immediately postoperatively he developed a blood disorder which went undiagnosed for nearly 2 weeks. This caused dangerously low platelets and clotting of his blood in various extremities. Unfortunately, due to the delay in diagnosing his blood disorder he suffered partial amputation of both feet and one of his hands. As a result of his injuries he was no longer able to care for patients again. We were able to negotiate a settlement through the use of medical experts as well as Life Care Planner’s and an economist.

Every case is different, and the verdicts and settlement figures listed by Crandall & Pera Law are not a guarantee of similar outcomes for other clients and cases.
